Keto Coconut Flour Chicken Strips

This recipe is designed to teach everyone how to make easy keto coconut flour chicken strips

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp dry oregano
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp dry basil
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup oil of choice, plus more for frying

Instructions

  • Fill deep fryer with oil and preheat to 375 degrees. If no deep fryer place about 2 cups oil in a large stovetop skillet and preheat the oil to 375 degrees (about 7-10 minutes)
  • Cut chicken breast into strips about 1/2 inch thick. Set aside
  • In a large mixer bowl whisk together all dry ingredients until no lumps are in the dry ingredients
  • In a shallow bowl bowl place the oil. Place the chicken strips one at a time into the oil and turn to coat. Allow excess oil to drip back into the bowl
  • Place oil coated chicken strips into the dry ingredients and turn until fully coated pressing the coating on as you turn the chicken
  • Place coated oil into deep fryer basket in a single layer. Fry about 6-8 minutes or until golden and the internal temperature is at least 160 degrees
  • If using stovetop skillet fry 6 minutes, turn and fry another 6 minutes or until golden and internal temperature is at least 160 degrees
  • Place cooked chicken strips onto a lined paper plate to absorb the excess oil. Serve warm with favorite dipping sauce
