Course: Main Course, Side Dish
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 3 buns

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 cup monkfruit sweetener or granulated sweetener of choice more or less depending on desired level of sweet taste
  • 1 TBS baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp xanthan gum
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease 3-4 bun molds and place on a lined baking sheet
  • In a large mixing bowl sift or whisk together all the dry ingredients until there are no lumps
  • Add the eggs. Whisk until fully combined and all the dry ingredients are moist
  • Add the butter. Use a fork and stir all together until fully combined and the dough is soft
  • Push the dough all together to form a ball. Dough will be wet but not runny. Roll the ball around in the bowl a few times to be sure of the texture. Allow dough to sit uncovered at room temperature about 5 minutes to absorb any extra moisture
  • After the dough has set. Massage the dough about 30 seconds to be sure of texture. Dough should still be moist but not sticky
  • Divide the dough between 3 four inch diameter molds or 4 three inch diameter molds. Bake at 400 degrees about 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden and a tester comes out clean
  • Remove from the oven. Buns will be soft but will firm up as they cool. Allow to cool on the pan about 15 minutes or until firm enough to transfer to a wire rack.
  • Transfer to a wire rack and allow to cool completely before slicing
  • Once cooled slice buns in half horizontally to create a top and bottom. If desired microwave 10-15 seconds to slightly warm the buns. Fill with desired fillings

  • Hi, I really like this recipe!, but my video of the recipe is in Korean captions?, I don’t see the setting for english captions.

  • Try to change captions to english, but it still says Korean – English & the english that’s on has nothing to do with your recipe, it’s crazy, need to fix it, tried to take off Korean, but once again the english caption doesn’t talk about your recipe!.
