Sugar Free Barbeque Chicken One Dish Meal
This recipe is designed to show everyone how to make easy sugar free barbeque chicken one dish meal
Ingredients
- 6-8 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1-2 sweet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 4-6 carrots, thinly sliced
- 1-2 red onions, thinly sliced
- 1-2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
One Minute Barbeque Sauce
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup molasses, or sweetener of choice see notes
- 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/4 tsp hot sauce
- 1/4 cup honey mustard
- 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, optional
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees and prepare a 3 quart casserole dish
- In a medium mixing bowl whisk together all the barbeque sauce ingredients until fully combined and smooth. Set aside
- Layer the carrots across the bottom of a 3 quart casserole dish. Season carrots with seasoned salt and seasoned pepper.
- Layer sweet potatoes on top of carrots. Season potatoes with seasoned pepper and garlic salt
- Place chicken thighs in single layer on top of potatoes. Spoon desired amount of barbeque sauce over chicken thighs
- Sprinkle onions and peppers over top of chicken, Bake uncovered for 30-45 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink and vegetables are tender
Notes
If using a sweetener other than molasses make sure the sweetener has a similar taste to molasses or brown sugar
