Quick Keto French Dip/ Au Jus
This recipe is designed to teach everyone how to make quick keto French dip/Au Jus sandwiches.
Servings 4 sandwiches
Ingredients
- 4 cups beef broth
- 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp xanthan gum or keto thickener of choice
- 1 lb fresh deli sliced roast beef
- 4 six-inch keto hoagie buns
- sauce, vegetables and cheese of choice I use a LITTLE barbecue sauce, baby spinach and mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Place the broth and the dry seasonings in a large saucepan over medium heat. Bring mixture to a full boil. Sprinkle in the xanthan gum and whisk until the xanthan gum is FULLY dissolved. Bring back up to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 10 minutes until the broth is slightly thickened.
- Add the beef. Cook for another 5 minutes or until heated through. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Place the bottom portion of the hoagie buns on a lined baking sheet. Spread a very light layer of the sauce of choice over bottom portion of the bun. Top the sauce with the vegetables and cheese of choice.
- Top with the desired amount of warm beef. Cover with the top portion of the hoagie bun. Place in preheated oven at 350 degrees for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Spoon the desired amount of broth mixture in a wide bowl. Serve the broth with the warm sandwiches.
