Quick Keto “Sunflour” Pizza

This recipe is designed to teach everyone how to make keto "Sunflour" pizza

Ingredients

  • 168 grams (1 1/2 cups) sunflower seed flour
  • 7 grams (1 TBS) fine golden flaxseed meal
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 10 grams (2 tsp) baking powder
  • 1 TBS dry Italian seasoning
  • 60 grams (1/2 cup) freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 large room temperature eggs
  • 15 ml (1 TBS) olive oil
  • 15 ml (1 TBS) room temperature water
  • 14 grams (2 TBS) coconut flour amount may vary
  • sauce and toppings of choice

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a 14-inch round pizza pan with parchment paper. Set aside. Sift the dry ingredients except the cheese into a large mixing bowl until there are no lumps. Stir the cheese into the dry ingredients until fully combined.
  • Stir the remaining ingredients except the coconut flour into the dry ingredients until a moist, sticky dough forms. Gradually add the coconut flour until the dough is sticky but will not stick to fingers. The amount of coconut flour may vary depending on the density of the flours.
  • Scrape down the sides of the bowl and form the bowl into a ball. Massage the dough ball for 1 minutes to help absorb some of the extra moisture. Form the dough back into a ball and place in the center of the prepared pizza pan. Press/roll the dough out to a 13 to 14 inch circle.
  • Bake in the preheated oven at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden. Remove the cooked crust from the oven and cool in the pan for 10 minutes before applying toppings. Top the crust with the sauce and toppings of choice. Place back into the preheated oven and bake another 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted and toppings are heated through.
  • Remove from the oven. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
