- Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a 13 inch round pizza pan with parchment paper or an 8x13 inch cake pan
- In a large mixing bowl sift or whisk together all the dry ingredients until fully combined and no lumps are in the dry ingredients
- Add the eggs. Whisk together until fully combined and all the dry ingredients are moist
- Add the butter. Whisk until fully combined and a soft dough has formed
- Push all the dough together in a smooth ball. Massage the ball about 30 seconds to make sure the texture is right. The dough should be moist but not sticky
- Break the dough ball up slightly. Gradually add the mozzarella cheese in small amounts. Fold in after each addition until the full cup of cheese has been added and is evenly distributed in the dough
- Again, form the dough into a ball and massage for another 30 seconds to make sure the cheese is fully incorporated in the dough
- Place the dough into the center of the prepared pizza pan. Press the dough evenly throughout the pan and over the edges of the pan
- Line the string cheese or filling of choice around the inside edges of the crust. Carefully fold the extra dough over the filling until the dough is completely covering the filling. Make sure the dough is smooth with no cracks. If there are cracks lightly dampen fingers and rub the cracks out
- Lightly dampen fingers and make sure the folded dough is sealed into the bottom dough. Place in preheated oven. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes or until lightly golden
- Remove from the oven. Crust will be soft. Allow to cool at least 5 minutes before topping the crust.
- Top the crust with the sauce, cheese, and topping of choice. Place back in the preheated oven. Bake at 400 degrees another 8 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the toppings are heated through
- Remove from the oven. Allow to cool 5 minutes before slicing to avoid crumbling. Allow leftovers to cool completely and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 3 days
