Keto Sloppy Joe Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 102 ml (7 TBS) room temperature water
  • 29 ml (2 TBS) apple cider vinegar,
  • 29 ml (2 TBS) Worcestershire sauce
  • 45 grams (3 TBS) tomato paste
  • 32 gram (2 1/2 TBS) brown monk fruit sweetener
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 TBS ground mustard
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • desired amount of lettuce of choice
  • shredded cheese and desired salad topping (optional)

Instructions

  • Place the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Chop the ground beef into small pieces. Cook stirring frequently 5 to 7 minutes until the n=beef is no longer pink. drain the excess fat from the beef. Add the remaining ingredients. Stir until the tomato paste is smooth and the sweetener is fully dissolved.
  • Bring the mixture to a low boil. Cover the skillet with a lid. Reduce the heat to low. Simmer 10 to 15 minutes or until the sauce has thickened. Once thickened, spoon the desired amount of sloppy joes onto the lettuce of choice. If desired top with topping of choice. Serve warm or at room temperature.
