Quick Keto Bread Sticks

This recipe is designed to teach everyone how to make quick keto bread sticks

Ingredients

  • 10 grams (2 TBS) whole psyllium husk
  • 84 grams (3/4 cup) coconut flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 15 grams (1 TBS) baking powder
  • 1 tsp dry Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 grams (2 tsp) instant dry yeast
  • 3 large eggs,room temperature
  • 131 mililiters (9 TBS) olive oil
  • 30 ml HOT water
  • 30 ml HOT coconut milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Grind the psyllium husk until it is half the volume. Place the ground husk into a large mixing bowl. Sift dry ingredients into the mixing bowl with the ground husk until there are no lumps. Stir the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients for 1 minutes until a wet dough forms. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and push to the center of the bowl.
  • Knead the dough in the bowl for 2 minutes until smooth and a ball forms. let the dough sit at room temperature for 15 minutes to absorb extra moisture. After 15 minutes, line a work surface with parchment paper. Divide the dough into 6 equal portions (about 1/4 cup dough in each portion)
  • Roll each portion into a smooth log about 6 inches long (or desired size) Place the dough logs onto prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Place in preheated oven. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden. Once baked, remove the breadsticks from the oven. Melt 2 TBS butter in a small bowl. Stir in 1/4 tsp salt and 1/2 tsp garlic powder until combined and smooth
  • Brush the garlic butter evenly over the breadsticks and allow to sit for 5 minutes before serving. These can be served warm or at room temperature.
