Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup coconut flour
  • 4 tsp onion powder, divided
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 28 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 TBS Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp dry parsley
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 3 lbs top sirloin steak cut into desired portions

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. In a medium bowl whisk together the coconut flour, 2 tsp of the onion powder, the garlic powder, and desired amount of salt and pepper until combined and no lumps. Set aside. In a large bowl stir together the broth, crushed tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, the remaining 2 tsp of onion powder, the dry parsley, the tomato paste, 1/2 tsp each of salt and pepper until combined and the paste is smooth. Set aside.
  • Lightly grease a 3-quart casserole dish. Place the steaks in the dish. Sprinkle the flour mixture evenly on both sides of the steaks. Pour the tomato mixture over the coated steaks. Bake in the preheated oven at 425 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until the steaks are the desired level of pink. Once done baking, remove the steaks from the oven. Allow them to sit for 5 minutes before serving with the side dishes of choice.
