Ingredients
5 Minute Keto Barbecue Sauce
- 3/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup brown Swerve or brown sugar sweetener of choice
- 2 TBS apple cider vinegar
- 1 TBS paprika
Keto Barbecue Cheeseburgers
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 TBS prepared barbecue sauce
- 1 large egg
- 4 slices cheese of choice

- 1 lb cooked bacon
- additional burger toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc) optional
Instructions
Barbecue Sauce
- Combine all barbecue sauce ingredients in a small mixing bowl. Mix until all ingredients are combined and the sauce is smooth. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks
Burgers
- Preheat grill over medium heat until fully heated.
- In a large mixer bowl mix together ground beef, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, 2 TBS prepared barbecue sauce, and egg until fully combined
- Shape meat mixture into 4 quarter pound patties. Grill on preheated grill about 5-7 minutes on each side or until no pink
- Remove from grill and immediately add a slice of cheese to each patty.
- Spoon desired amount of barbecue sauce on each burger bun. Top each bun with a burger patty.
- Top burger patties with additional toppings and barbecue sauce. Serve immediately
Notes
This recipe yields about 4 quarter pound burgers. 1 serving equals 1 burger
1 burger with bun and topping contains about 7 grams of net carbs
The carb count is based on using my keto hamburger bun recipe, colby cheese, and 2 TBS of barbecue sauce.
The barbecue sauce yields about 1 cup of sauce. 2 tablespoons of sauce contain about 2 grams of net carbs

Ingredients
- 1 medium red onion (110 grams)
- 163 grams oil of choice (3/4 cup)
- 1 large egg
- 57 grams milk of choice (3/4 cup)
- 144 grams whey protein powder, or almond flour (1 1/2 cups)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 TBS dry Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat oil in a large 12 inch skillet over medium heat until oil is hot. Slice the onion into 1/2 inch slices and separate the rings individually
- In a small bowl whisk together egg and milk until fully combined
- In a separate medium mixing bowl whisk together the whey protein powder, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until fully combined and no lumps are in the protein powder
- Place onion rings one at a time into milk/egg mixture. Turn several times to thoroughly coat the onion ring.
- Place the coated onion rings into whey protein powder/seasoning mixture. Turn several times to coat the onion ring. Make sure it is completely coated.
- Place rings into skillet with preheated oil. Cook over medium heat 2-3 minutes on each side or until lightly golden. DO NOT OVER COOK
