  • 1 large onion I use red onion
  • 1 lb bacon (about 11 slices)


  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. Set aside. Cut the onion into slices that are about 1/4 inch thick. Separate the slices into rings. Wrap one piece of bacon around each of the rings.
  • Make sure to tuck the ends of the bacon into the onion ring to keep from coming apart. (I made 11 rings) Place the wrapped onion rings onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave space between each ring for an even cook. Place the rings in the preheated oven.
  • Bake at 425 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until the bacon is crisp. Remove the rings from the oven. Allow them to cool on the pan 3 to 5 minutes to avoid burning fingers. Serve warm by themselves or with the dip of choice.
