Quick Keto Chili Cheeseburgers

Ingredients

Chili

  • 28 oz diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar substitute I use Besti brown monkfruit/allulose blend
  • 1 3/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 TBS chili powder
  • 1 tsp dry cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dry oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 6 oz tomato paste
  • 30 oz black soybeans, drained and rinsed can substitute with chopped cooked green beans or cooked, soft vegetable of choice.

Burger Patties

  • 1 1/2 lbs lean ground beef
  • salt, pepper and dry seasonings of choice to taste I use dry Italian seasoning
  • 6 keto burger buns, toasted

Instructions

  • Place all of the chili ingredients except the beans (or bean substitute) in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir to fully combine. Make sure the sweetener is dissolved and the paste is smooth. Bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until slightly thickened.

Burger Patties

  • Place the beef and seasonings in a bowl and stir to fully combine. Divide the mixture into 6 portions (or desired amount) Press each portion out to a circle about 4 inches in diameter (or to fit the keto buns being used) Cook patties according to taste (I grill mine on an indoor grill for 5 to 7 minutes)
  • Once cooked immediately top each patty with a slice of cheese of choice and allow the cheese to melt. Place one burger patty on the bottom portion of each bun. Top the patty wit the desired amount of chili (I used about 1/4 cup) Top the chili with desired amount of shredded cheese. Cover with the top portion of the keto buns and serve immediately.
