Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/4 tsp garlic powder, divided
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 TBS keto barbecue sauce more as needed
  • 9 keto slider buns
  • 1 TBS butter, melted, optional
  • sesame seeds, optional
  • desired amount of sliced and shredded cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line a small baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat. Place the beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Chop the beef into small pieces. Season the beef with the salt, pepper, 1 tsp of the garlic powder and the remaining dry seasonings. Stir to combine the seasonings and the beef
  • Cook stirring occasionally for 5 to 7 minutes or until the beef is no longer pink. Once done cooking, turn off the heat. Stir in the remaining 1/4 tsp of garlic powder and the barbecue sauce. Cut the rolls in half to create top and bottom portions.
  • Place the bottom portions on the side by side on the prepared baking sheet. Top the bottom portions with slices of cheese until completely covered. Slightly overlap each cheese slice to connect the rolls together. Spread the beef mixture evenly over the cheese slices.
  • Sprinkle a light layer of shredded cheese over the beef mixture. If desired top the shredded cheese with some more barbecue sauce. Place the top portions of the roll side by side over the filling. Brush the tops of the rolls with the melted butter. Sprinkle the desired amount of sesame seeds over the melted butter.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the filling is heated through. Once baked, remove the sliders from the oven and allow to cool on the pan 3 to 5 minutes to avoid burning the fingers. Serve warm as an appetizer or with the sides of choice.
