Ingredients

  • 3 slice pre-sliced cheese I use Colby cheese

Instructions

  • Cut each cheese slice into 16 small squares for a total of 36 squares. Place the cheese squares on a wire rack. Let the cheese squares at room temperature for at least 24 to 48 hours or until the squares are dry and hard. After the cheese has dried, preheat the oven to 390 degrees.
  • Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper. Place the dried cheese squares on the prepared baking sheets. Leave plenty of space between each square to allow room for the cheese to expand. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese is puffy and crisp.
  • Remove the puffs from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes. If desired sprinkle the puffs with some dry ranch or dry seasonings. Serve immediately.
