Ingredients

  • 113 grams (1 cup) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 24 grams (1/4 cup) freshly grated parmesan cheese,
  • 1 large egg
  • optional dry seasoning I used 1 tsp dry Italian seasonings

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Line an 8 x 8 inch cake pan. Allow the paper to hang over the sides of the pan for easy removal. Set aside. Stie together all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl until all the dry ingredients are moist and sticking together.
  • Use a wooden spoon and press the "dough" together in a ball shape. Scoop the "dough" into the prepared cake pan. Use hands or the back of a measuring cup and press the "dough" evenly throughout the pan. Place into the preheated oven. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.
  • Remove the bread from the oven and allow to cool in the pan 2 to 3 minutes to avoid burning fingers. Grasp the overhanging paper and gently lift the bread out of the pan and turn the bread paper side up onto a wire rack.
  • Carefully remove the paper from the bread and turn the bread right side up onto the rack. Eat this warm or at room temperature. Use this for almost any recipe that requires flatbread.
  • For sandwiches: Cut the bread into 4 to 8 portions (4 portions makes 2 sandwiches. 8 portions make 4 sandwiches) Place filling of choice on half of the portions then top with a plain portion.
